Rapper, Reality star and influencer, famous for her Boosie like rap flow and her role on the hit YouTube series “Chasing Atlanta“

Lil’ Kendra was a talented but struggling rapptress before reality tv. She was looking for her break in this male dominated music industry. Kendra knew she had the talent but Kendra also knew that there weren’t any other girls like her that made it far. Kendra openly discussed how hard it was to work with male producers who did not know that she was a trans woman and how they’d “switch up” once they found out. Or, the ones who knew and simply tried to abuse her sexually when given the chance.

Kendra is very talented there is no denying that. However, those men saw her passion for music as an opportunity to take advantage of young Kendra or they dismissed her altogether. Kendra also admitted to having to do sex work to survive during this hard time and that she was very ashamed of having to do so considering her morals and her talent.

The third season of Chasing Atlanta wrapped and producers were seeking new talent. Hundreds of fans from the LGBTQ+ community auditioned for the opportunity to showcase their talents on the hit show. Kendra wasn’t expecting her break to come from a YouTube series, but the Chasing Reality brand saw her potential so they reached out. Kendra began filming shortly thereafter.

Although Kendra was at a very low point and did not have much hope left she knew that she couldn’t blow this opportunity so she put on her best face and went all in. Wayne da Pain whom is Kendra’s manager and also on the show, kept her inspired and motivated by keeping Kendra busy. They were always in and out of the studio working on new music and Wayne worked really hard to keep Kendra booked on the east coast and down south during this time. We have to give a special shoutout to Wayne for the loyalty he displayed we definitely could use more of that in this cruel world.

Kendra’s story was exactly what the producers for “Chasing Atlanta” were looking for. They wanted someone hungry, real, raw and passionate. Kendra represents all of those things and more. Kendra’s debut single “I’m Coming” was a huge hit with the audience and everyone could hear some serious star quality coming from the young aspiring rapper.

When Kendra was introduced to the show, she was not welcomed with open arms by her fellow castmates. They called out things that were very triggering and hurtful, and that brought on a whole set of issues that lasted for at least two seasons. The drama played out in true reality tv fashion. Kendra has since went on to do several music collaborations with a few of the cast members and continued on to become a vital asset to the Chasing Reality brand.

When things were starting to look up for Kendra she was wrongfully arrested, mis-gendered and humiliated during filming. Rumors started to circulate among the castmates and fans as to why she was arrested and how long she’d be locked up. The cast members threw shade as Wayne tried to maintain the peace between the group and Kendra.

It was almost as if they wanted to see her fail, but that made Kendra come back stronger. Once Kendra was released from jail she released her long awaited album “Next Generation” and began filming. The audience welcomed their fave back with open arms and all the love she deserves.

Kendra is currently still working with Chasing Reality although the details of whether she will return next season of Chasing Atlanta are unclear, what is clear is that Lil’ Kendra is a Star and she will continue to do great things in this world. Kendra has poured her heart out sharing her truths and struggles through her storylines and her music. Kendra is more than a rapper, actress, activist, she is also a innovator, trendsetter and most of all she is a Survivor.

Because of her perseverance and tenacity, Kendra continues to fight for Trans Rights and inspires millions of fans all over the world.
