We are tired of seeing #sayhername but It’s no secret that people who identify as trans have a harder time surviving in this cruel world, but trans women of color particularly have it rough. Our community should work harder at protecting our sisters. We have to first learn to respect each other and not judge … Read More “#SayHerName” »

If you’ve seen Uptown Charlotte, you know all about its breathtakingly beautiful futuristic landscape and the amount of wealth that’s condensed in that one area alone. #IamJazz Kids and Community National Reading Day
Events, The Queen City

On February 24th 2022 Erase Trans Hate Carolinas joined THE FREEDOM CENTER of Charlotte and the #Iamjazz Foundations’ National Reading Day event!

It was a small event but it was filled with lots of love and good energy. We had a nice selection of snack and food options, we took turns reading, we even had a mini paint-n-sip, minus the sip. We laughed, we danced and we cried. It was all worth it.

Time Out Youth Charlotte and the PRIDE Committee put this great event together. We couldn’t turn down this opportunity to network and reconnect with our community. We are glad that we didn’t because we learned some very valuable information that we couldn’t have gotten anywhere else and we met some very genuine, good people.

We are looking forward to another collaboration between these wonderful local organizations.

Be on the look out for next years announcement so you don’t miss out on the opportunity to build community, enjoy some good books and have lots of fun engaging with likeminded individuals!
